Assignments and Documents
Study Tips for the Test:
- Know Vocabulary: transcription, translation, ribosome, amino acid, nucleotides, codon, anti-codon, DNA, mRNA, tRNA, protein, amino acid, nucleotide
- Be able to transcribe a segment of DNA and translate it into a protein. Know where in the cell each of these processes happens.
- Be able to look at a diagram that shows mRNA, tRNA and a ribosome and explain what each piece is and what is happening. What type of bonds hold together amino acids? What does a string of amino acids make?
- There are questions from your quiz on this test, so study it!
- Suggestion: Watch the videos posted to our website for review
- Be able to explain what it means to transform an organism. Remember our pGLO lab?
